Common Admission Test
CAT is India's premier MBA entrance exam. Three sections of 40 minutes each (cannot switch between sections). Mix of MCQ (negative marking) and TITA/non-MCQ questions (no negative marking). Scaled percentile scores are used for IIM shortlisting.
Computer-based. 66 total questions, 198 marks, 120 min (40 min/section, fixed order: VARC โ DILR โ QA). MCQ: +3 correct, โ1 wrong. TITA (non-MCQ): +3 correct, 0 wrong. Scaled scores reported; percentile determines IIM shortlisting.
